For Applications with long transmission lines, high EMC exposure or explosive atmospheres FO connectors with protection class IP67 are indispensable. Telegärtner´s FO connector itself consists of bulkhead with a 2SC adaptor and a Duplex plug and is available for GOF and POF fibres. To withstand the rough conditions the robust SC mating face has been integrated into a non-crush metal housing; the spring-loaded protective sleeve ensures optimum protection of the fibre end faces. The connector can be terminated on-site with a standard SC assembly tool set; a crimp sleeve serves as strain relief and the connector is sealed by a cable gland. A screwed, captive cap serves as pulling eye as well as for protection when not connected. The flange mounting outlet is sealed by a protective swivel lid. The connection interface is polarization-proof and the adaptor housing can additionally be mounted in 4x90° positions.
